The Tintagel Soundcairn. Built as part of the Tintagel Regeneration Project involving Cornwall County Council, North Cornwall Arts and Creative Partnerships. The slate and turfed soundcairn sits below the new Trevena Square that I designed. A listening post sited in the square through which you can hear the sounds of people playing. The sculpture is also part of the 'On the shoulders of giants' project, a creative partnerships iniative. I worked in the primary school where Charlie Tapper, Paul Johnson and myself built a communication cone, again about listening. I created a story about a giant that lives beneath the ground and with the help of Amanda White, a writer from West Cornwall, we produced a book 'The Tintagel Giant'.
