Slow Rivers was commissioned for Derriford Hospital, Plymouth. The sculpture consists of 9 holograms made by my brother Jo Fairfax and a poem by our Father John Fairfax. It relates to the theme of river to sea. Along valleys slow rivers feed oaks stunted but strong, draped with grey green lichen whispering lonely lovely songs. 1998
