Camera Obscura
Built for the 'South West Woodfair' in June 2007. This is a 4.5 metre high douglas fir and metal structure, built by 'Smith of Derby' in a 360 degree portable camera obscura.
The images are projected inside the structure onto a table using a 3 metre focal length lens and a mirror at 45 degrees. The top-geared mechanism turns through 360 degrees.
